Is Mike Huckabee the biggest liar ever to run for President?

This would be an amazing accomplishment, needing to beat out candidates such as Bill and Hillary Clinton, but Huckabee has put his best effort forward in the last few days. The worst part is that he’s also the worst liar in the world.

Allahpundit over at HotAir.com has put together a nice little collection of the Huckster's best fibs, with the most recent coming during last night’s press conference:

In recent days, Mike Huckabee has tried to answer long-standing questions about who is on his foreign policy team. On Friday morning, he listed former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton as someone with whom he either has “spoken or will continue to speak.”

At a Thursday evening press conference, Huckabee said, “I’ve corresponded with John Bolton, who’s agreed to work with us on developing foreign policy.”

Bolton, however, has a different view. “I’d be happy to speak with Huckabee, but I haven’t spoken with him yet,” said Bolton, now a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank in Washington.

“I’m not an official or unofficial adviser to anyone,” said Bolton, who mentioned he’d had conversations with other Republican candidates but refused to name any names.

It gets worse if you know that this isn’t the first time Huckachuck has been embarrassed with such a zinger. As Allah points out in his post … “A few weeks back, Mike Huckabee touted Frank Gaffney among his foreign policy advisers.”

The fact that this goof is leading in the polls doesn’t speak well for the awareness of the American public. Being a Christian myself, I have to ask myself if fellow Christians are overlooking the fact that this guy is a dishonest liberal fraud of a snake oil salesman simply because he’s a Christian, or if they’re so unaware of who he is that they simply don’t know any better. Do they have the internet in Iowa? Do they really believe Huckabee is a Christian, and if so … do they really want this man representing their faith?
