Are Americans cowards, or are we just lazy?

Judging by the reaction from citizens across the country to recent events; it appears to me that Americans, as a group, would much rather be gardening in their backyard then defending their country. Please note that I said "as a group." It's obvious that there are extremely brave and motivated Americans constantly fighting to protect this country, but it seems that the over-all majority of citizens today have no interest in interfering with their daily lives to possibly make a difference in protecting this country. Especially during the Civil War; it would have been hard to find a man remaining in any town unless that man was a minister or disabled. The men had all gone off to fight, having eagerly volunteered to defend their freedoms and their beliefs. African-Americans had to fight a war within a war, just for the right to volunteer and join the battle. And during World War I and World War II even the women got into the act; volunteering in mass to assist in any way possible.

Recently, we’ve seen pro-terrorist groups marching the streets of San Francisco waving signs plastered with anti-American and anti-Israeli death threats. We’ve seen La Raza supporters and illegal aliens marching in NY City and Los Angeles telling Americans that our country belongs to Mexicans. We’ve seen Mexican flags being hoisted up flag polls at post offices and American schools. We’ve seen illegal aliens physically assault American citizens on our own streets in plain view of cameras and policemen. We've seen La Raza call for ethnic cleansing of all white Europeans, and now … people are getting out of cars to beat up members of our own military, on our own soil?. But what happens?

NOTHING!

The police stand and watch. Americans stand by and watch as fellow Americans get beat up by foreign invaders. The News channels ignore it and edit the photos and film to appear as if none of it happened. And Americans as a group … twiddle their thumbs, close their eyes, and say … it’s just too stressful to get involved.

Over the last few months, we’ve also seen overwhelming evidence that our media is purposely taking sides with our enemies, altering photos, fabricating documents and entire stories, and purposely leaking information to the enemy during wartime. We know for a fact, that the FBI, Homeland Security, and other government agencies have spies within them who are purposely leaking classified information to sources outside of their agency for political reasons or financial gain, but either way … the end result being to assist our enemy during war. And, at least two news agencies (NY Times and Reuters) have now beyond any sort of doubt; proven themselves to want America to lose the war.

Just last week, ‘InvadingAmerica.com’ broke the story of a group of up to 100 high school age kids in Dearborn, Michigan with MySpace profiles advertising their desires to travel to the Middle-East to train, and then to return to the U.S. to carry out attacks on Jews and Americans. But what happens?

NOTHING!

Americans just go about their business, responding to all of this by saying … “it’s too stressful to think about”, or … “there’s nothing I can do.”

I don’t believe Americans are cowards and I never have. History has proven that when faced with a threat; both men and women have raced to the front of the line to defend our freedom. And we don’t just fight against invaders or hostile forces; we also rise up to fight injustice, such as it was with our own civil wars. In the past, when Americans feel the country is headed in the wrong direction, we fight! We give up our lives for our children’s future.

So, what is going on in the head of Americans today? You can pretty much go down the list of everything that made this country what it is and you’ll find it under attack at every level, from every direction. The examples I mentioned earlier, are not just fear tactics. Each example is actually happening now, and Americans are doing absolutely nothing about it. Think about how Americans would have reacted back in the 1914 as World War 1 was breaking out, or in 1939 as Adolf Hitler was ranting the same exact rhetoric that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is openly broadcasting now. Imagine what any American would have done back then, if an immigrant, especially an ILLEGAL immigrant decided to burn an American Flag on American soil. In fact, what would have been done if another AMERICAN had done the same thing? And how would an American city react in 1941 to a foreign immigrant hoisting a foreign flag up an American flag pole, and placing the American flag beneath it and UPSIDE DOWN?

I can recall conversations not too long ago in which I gave my opinion that Americans would never tolerate any type of threat to our way of life. I believed that Americans would riot, and use whatever force it took if we ever felt we were losing grasp on our freedom. After 9/11 we had several conversations among co-workers that if Muslims were to ever start attacking us routinely in the U.S. … that it would be an ugly situation due to our belief that Americans would simply lose control and start taking matters into their own hands. My thought, to be exact, was that Americans would never simply sit on their hands and allow our children to be blown up in buses, in bowling alleys, or on street corners. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I believe we should all run out and start being vigilantes, but then again … I never thought our government leaders would put us in that position either. I was wrong.

Now, added to the ever growing list of threats; the homosexual community is selling votes to our elected leaders and your representatives are actually buying. In California, thanks to a homosexual congresswoman, the government is looking at forcing schools to actually teach children about the private sexual habits and desires of historic public figures. As if this is somehow important information. And, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently passed new guidelines blocking any private school (or students) from receiving government financial assistance if the school implements rules or codes relating to morality. Simply bizarre ... but what are Americans doing to stop it?

NOTHING!!!

We just continue to shrug our shoulders and say … “there’s nothing I can do.”
